Celebrating Cultures Pop Up
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Celebrating Cultures Pop Up project by Te Tuhi and the Howick Local Board at Ormiston Town Centre
Join us as we transform a vacant indoor space into a vibrant Cultural Pop Up, where local cultural groups can showcase and celebrate their heritage through performances and interactive activities.
Opening Day Celebration:
- Date: Saturday, 15 March
- Time: 10 am – 4 pm
- Location: The Market Carpark
Kick off this amazing event with a festival party featuring silent disco, ride-on jeeps, bumper cars, pony rides* and other fun rides! Enjoy performances, interactive activities, and family fun.

Two Weeks of Exciting Events:
- Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 4 activities each day, 10 am – 2 pm
- Weekdays (Monday – Friday): 2 activities each day
Activities Include:
- Lantern making, flower crafting, traditional crafts, language games
- Cultural storytelling, spices, dance
- Arts and craft workshops, traditional dance, Tai Chi
- Family art projects and traditional games
