Lockdown Treats – Chewy Choc Chip Cookies

No one can refuse a delicious chewy choc chip cookie. The perfect comfort food to dunk in your cup of tea or have with a glass of milk. These cookies are easy to whip up at home thanks to The Coffee Club.

Ingredients:

200g butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup soft brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla essence
3 cups standard flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups chocolate chips

Method:

Preheat oven to 180c. Bake and grease/line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Soften the butter, then add white and brown sugar. Cream these together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla, then use a spatula or spoon to mix in the dry ingredients.
Roll the mixture into medium sized balls, and place on prepared trays. Flatten these slightly with the back of a fork or spoon.
Bake for 10-12minutes, until lightly browned around the edges.
Leave to cool on the trays, before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
