Ormiston Town Centre Proposal

It’s a cause for celebration whenever someone pops the question, but it’s especially exciting when our community can be a part of it.

Only three months in and we can proudly give a big round of applause to Bree and Tasi for becoming the first couple to become officially engaged at Ormiston Town Centre.

The pair, who are currently in a long-distance relationship, met last year. For Tasi it was simple, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Bree.

“Even though we haven’t known each other for a long time – when you know, you know,” said Tasi.

With plans to propose when she was visiting for his birthday weekend, Tasi started looking for the perfect place to pop the question.

“She likes pink and flowers so when I saw Divine Patisserie I thought that has to be the place. I knew she would love it.”

Under the pretence of celebrating Tasi’s birthday, the couple headed to Ormiston Town Centre and booked in for an afternoon tea at Divine Patisserie. Little did Bree know that Tasi had organised an extra surprise.

“The staff were so excited, they kept smiling at us and Bree thought it was just their awesome service, she didn’t know what had been planned.”

After being seated in one of the booths, there was a special something delivered with the cakes and tea set.

“I had created a book of our relationship, containing photos and memories with all the things I love about Bree.”

With Bree’s favourite song ‘Where is my mind’ by The Pixies playing over the speakers, Tasi bent on one knee and asked Bree to marry him.

After smiles and a few tears, Bree accepted Tasi’s proposal while staff and customers looked on and applauded.

“We’ve been through previous relationships and we both have children so we know what works for us and what we want. I’m a big believer in love, we both are, and we want to share that with everyone,” said Tasi.

The couple plan to marry once all their family can come from Australia to celebrate. Until then, they’re looking forward to the day that they can live together.

Ormiston Town Centre was designed to be the heart of a growing community so we’re proud to be part of moments like these that create memories and define lives.

We wish Bree and Tasi all the best with their future, thanks again to the staff at Divine Patisserie for making this such a special occasion.
